The Hoops Down Under - Australia’s finest QPR International Supporters group - gathered for the QPR v Charlton game which kicked off at 9:30pm (AEST) last night.
QPR fans met up at venues in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane hoping that Rangers could bounce back from the 7-1 horror show last week at Coventry & collect their first 3 points of the 2025-26 season.
QPR got off to a flying start when Paul Smyth's early opener had put Rangers ahead after only 8 minutes and the home team managed hold on to that lead heading into half-time.
However in the second half, Rob Apter's first goal for Charlton hauled the visitors level after 54 minutes.
But late goals from Koki Saito and Richard Kone gave Rangers a much deserved 3-1 victory against Charlton - their first win under head coach Julien Stéphan and first 3 points of the 2025-26 campaign.
Now the Hoops Down Under are looking ahead to the next meet on Saturday 20th September for QPRs home game vs Stoke City at the early kick-off time of 9:30pm (AEST) once again!
“It was extremely pleasing to see QPR fans get out in big numbers in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to support the boys last night! I’m sure our support was seen & heard from the other side of the world! Hopefully Rangers can build from here! We’re all super excited about the next meet (20th Sept) already!” - Mark Davis (Co-Founder of the Hoops Down Under)
