ODE TO THE TURF BAR 🥺

It's the end of an Era 😢🥺 Melbourne's QPR fans (aka The Hoops Down Under) have been using the Turf Bar as their home base (& their holy grail) for QPR matches since co-founder Mark Davis had the bar first suggested to him for a trial meet way back in 2013. The Hoops Down Under have never looked back & our loyal supporters have been treated to some incredible memories (some bad, but the good always outweigh them!) including that infamous 2014 Championship Playoff Final between QPR & Derby which saw the Turf Bar host 100+ QPR supporters from all over Australia for what was one of the most incredible games of Football.

With great sadness we learnt last month, that the Turf Bar was officially closing their doors for the very last time at the end of this year and everyone at the Hoops Down Under just want say a big THANK YOU to Joe and the many many staff that have put up with our crazy antics over the years! 🍻⚽ We have put up a final goodbye & tribute to the Turf Bar on our website.
