Hey folks! Over the pre-season while we wait for our beloved Rs to kick off season 2025-26 in the Sky Bet Championship, I thought it would be cool to get to know some of our Hoops Down Under Members & discover why they became QPR fans + more in what I call our Hoops Down Under Members Spotlight. These will all be posted under our News Section so come back regularly to see them! Enjoy! First off we start with a loyal supporter over in the West.....

Q: Hi Paul! So how long have you been a QPR fan?

A: Believe it or not, it's been 59 Years! First game I went to was a League Cup game at Loftus Road in 1966 - QPR v Leicester City. QPR won 4-2 that night to make it through to the Fifth Round.

As we all know QPR went on to making the '67 League Cup final v West Bromwich Albion, going on to win 3-2 in a big upset victory.

Q: What is your most favourite QPR memory to date? A: Without doubt, the 2014 play off final.

I was there with all my old mates that stood with me at the 1967 League cup final.

Q: Who is your all time favourite QPR Player? And Why?

A: Stan Bowles closely followed by Rodney Marsh. Stan was supremely talented as was Rodney but contrary to popular belief he was a very hard working team player too.

The Legendary Stan Bowles.

Q: Who is your all time favourite QPR Manager? And Why?

A: Terry Venables. Innovative, always had a plan B and C.

Venables managed QPR between 1980–1984 & took QPR back into the First Division as Second Division champions in 1983. He also guided Rangers to the FA Cup final in 1982, whilst still a Second Division side, but lost in a replay against his former club Tottenham.

Q: Who is your current favourite QPR Player? And Why?

A: Steve Cook. Great Leader. So calm under pressure and always gives 100 per cent for the shirt!

On 9 August 2023, Cook signed for QPR on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee. Cook was voted the club's Player of the Year in his first season at the club.

Q: Where would you like to see QPR in say, 5 years time (2030-31)? How do QPR reach this achievement? A: Still in business, playing in a revamped stadium with no more Charlie big potatoes owners and their moronic overpaid underlings like Phillip "I'll build a new stadium" Beard.

PAUL'S PREDICTION FOR 2025-26

Squeaky Bum all season (Finishing 17th-21st, surviving relegation eventually...)
